From March 12 to 14(Georgetown time), Bi Yanchun, Chairman of CRIG, conducted business activities in Guyana. He met with Acting President and Prime Minister of Guyana, Brigadier (Retd) the Honorable Mark Phillips, Huang Rui, Chargé d’Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Guyana, and held talks with Kesh Nandlall, Chief Executive Officer of the Guyana Power and Light Inc. (GPL)..
On March 12, Bi Yanchun met with Acting President and Prime Minister Mark Phillips. Bi Yanchun introduced the CREC's business operations in Guyana. He expressed CRIG’s commitment to maintaining close cooperation with Guyana and contributing further to Guyana's economic and social development. Acting President and Prime Minister Mark Phillips highly commended CRIGs achievements in Guyana and encouraged CRIG to further participate in energy infrastructure construction, injecting new impetus into Guyana's green and sustainable development.
On the same day, Bi Yanchun met with Huang Rui, Charge d'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Guyana. Bi Yanchun expressed his gratitude to the Embassy for its long-standing care and support for CRIG. He said that CRIG will further cultivate the local market and contribute to the economic and social development and people's livelihood of Guyana. Huang Rui, Charge d'Affaires, noted that the Guyana PV-storage project is an excellent example of China's overseas projects. CRIG should seize the opportunity presented by Guyana's rapid economic and social development to advance high-quality Belt and Road Initiative cooperation between China and Guyana.
During the visit, Bi Yanchun held discussions with Kesh Nandlall, CEO of The Guyana Power and Light (GPL). The two sides exchanged views on the ongoing photovoltaic storage project , laying a solid foundation for successful execution of the project and further collaboration.
